Octave editing not working with custom key command

I am trying to edit notes and shift a note down an octave after writing it. I’ve set up the key commands as seen in the image below. (option+command+up)

Even with this it is still not moving the notes. Any advice?

Edit: I’ve also set this for the “note input” octave up and down respectively.

With (a) note(s) selected, enter OPT+CMD+ (Mac OS; or Windows equivalent) and you should get what you’re after.

Definitely worth spending time checking out the keyboard short cuts for entry and editing! This page has been very helpful to me:

Welcome to the forum @trevorschachner

See the key command that @judddanby has posted. It is the default one for shifting notes by an octave. What happens if you remove the entry you’ve added and try the default?

Hi there, when I try without the binds it still doesn’t change at all. It works to go down one note or a semitone with the other default shortcuts, but for some reason not the octave.

I can’t help with Mac, but on Windows these are my settings, which work perfectly…

I notice “Num↑,” suggesting it’s not the “regular” arrow key between the alphanumerics and the number pad…??

Dorico comes pre-programmed with the shortcut:

…so you may have overwritten it.

Thanks! I ended up doing a reset of all key binds and that did the trick. Not sure when I overwrote it but thank you all for the support!
