Octave Lines... make local?

Feature request for some future update…

Give some way to make octave lines apply in the score only. Either a toggle in properties, or perhaps some more general “show in score only”.

One thing I’ve read in quite a few places from e.g. flautists is that they are perfectly comfortable reading 4 or 5 ledger lines and it’s easier for them because it doesn’t interfere with muscle memory. Whereas in the score 8va notation is often more or less compulsory so as not to waste precious vertical space.

Rob, you may have answered this perfectly, but the link isn’t going anywhere helpful anymore, seems like the old forum. Can you clarify? I might be asking a dumb question, but so far I haven’t found a way to write/use space saving octave lines in the full score, but have an individual part use ledger lines instead.
