I’m finding that the “show open string” note when writing natural harmonics (note in parentheses) is sometimes offset as in the attached image. Is there a fix for this?
In Write mode, select the note combination. Then Right Click > Stem > Remove Forced Stem
Select the clef (looks like you have the bass clef). Click the clef symbol in the right panel. Then click the treble clef symbol. 
Toggle back and forth between the bass and treble symbols.
Leave the clef in either treble or bass clef.
Select the note combination again. Then Right Click > Stem > Force Stem Up. Toggle back and forth between Right Click > Stem > Force Stem Up and Right Click > Stem > Force Stem Down.
Select the note combination again. Open the left panel.
Change the whole note to a half note, which has a stem. Repeat the above. All is good, at least for me.
It looks like the open string note is expecting to be attached to a stem, which does not exist for the whole note. Matters are made worse by the diamond whole note having a different shape than the diamond half note.
Looks like you have found a bug!

Well, if it truly is a “bug”, glad I could help finding it. I just wish it hadn’t been in a score I need to send off to my distributor soon!
EDIT:
actually, looking at my score, and zooming in very close, the “show open string” note really does seem to be a tiny bit too far toward the stem even on half and quarter notes.
It looks like the left side of the notehead is, rather than just touching the stem, actually overlapping it.
If I could, I would move those noteheads a tiny bit so they were just touching the stem, rather than actually overlapping it.
