Odd behaviour of slur with grace note

I have a passage with a grace note that leaps to real notes, the final note of the passage is two tied notes.

If I start a slur on the first “real note” and select my passage, Dorico places the slur as I’ve configured it (last note of tie chain).

However, if I start my slur from the first grace note and go to my last note, Dorico seems to ignore this setting and places the slur from grace note to FIRST note of tie chain.

I can reset this in the lower panel in Engrave mode to get the correct slur placement (first grace note to last note in tie chain), but it WILL get tedious since I have a few instances of this in the score.

Is this a bug or is this expected behaviour? If expected, I’d love to understand why.

You have probably left the default setting in the Slurs section of the Engraving options (see screenshot); try the other option if you want the tie to extend to the end of the tied note

aha, ok, this was the missing answer.
thank-you.
I don’t know how I missed that.

That’s because Dorico is packed with 1000000 options, some in interaction with others, and it’s impossible to know them all (even if they do eventually sink in after a lifetime)
