Hi

Does any body else have this. When creating a new instrument in setup the existing instruments are completely re-arranged in order ! DORICO4 Latest

It’s actually a new feature, not a bug, see Changing the default player order.

Huh…why when I add a new player would it randomise the order of the existing ones?

Read the “tip” portion of the link @PjotrB shared. There are sorting conventions. It is not random.

Hmm, no, that’s obviously wrong. Can you upload a (reduced) version of your project, so that we (or the developers) can have a look?

It’s probably because things changed, you didn’t understand why, and then you started dragging things manually, which probably ‘broke’ the score order with an override. Try using one of the buttons at the bottom to resort and I suspect it will all pop back into proper order.

It is probably confused by your choice of single player for Violin 2, rather than section?
