Odd connections between what should be independent voices

I am using the newest version of Dorico 5, editing a piano score which was imported from MIDI. I am having an odd problem where a voice, when moved from RH to LH with the ‘m’ key, keeps itself connected to the RH staff via a long stem. Here’s my starting point:

Then I select all the notes in the LH except the last beat and move them from Up-stem voice 1 to down-stem voice 1:

This has been done in preparation to move the ‘A’ in the RH into the LH as the upper (stems-up) voice. So I select the ‘A’…

…and hit ‘m’ to move it down into the LH – but I end up with this:

I had not made any special edits (force-stems, etc.) to these notes prior to doing this. Clicking on the ‘A’ shows it as “Up-stem voice 1”; the F# and G in the same staff are both “Down-stem voice 1”.

Bug? Feature? Pilot error?
Thanks.

M and N will move notes to the opposite staff but keep them attached to the original staff i.e. cross-staff notes.

Alt/Opt+M or Alt/Opt+N is what you need to use.
