I can not figure out why my pitches are bending during playback. I am entering a simple guitar piece and for no reason, pitches are bending out of tune. My midi controller does not pitch bend, and I have already gone through the process of enacting the resetting the playback overrides.
The worse part is it seems to be random, (sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesnt) telling me it’s something wrong with the software. This didn’t start happening until the recent update. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have already purchased a new midi controller just in case.
i’ve tried that also. To give you an idea how random it is, it may happen once on a repeated section of music…either the first time or the second time, but not the other time in the same repeated section. no rhyme or reason to it.
it’s playing back through the system. I use a very basic midi keyboard for entry only. Again, it is random. the same section of music may do it or not. It almost sounds like a glissando or pitch bend taking entire parts out of tune.
Furthermore, I did not change any settings after the recent update…but it started happening then. (the update that including the new singing tools)
how do I upload a video? I took 2 videos with my phone back to back that show two different random pitch bending playbacks. but can’t upload them here.
FYI. I just checked the box that said, “Filter out midi controllers” and it did the pitch bending again, in a completely different place. it’s completely random. I even exported the audio, and it only did it a little at the very end.
I myself am a victim of one of these midi keyboards which has a dusty/dirty pitch-bend wheel sensor inside. It sends out random
pitchbend control messages. It makes the
music sound out of tune.
Solution 1: disconnect
Solution 2: open device and clean the sensor
Solution 3: look if you can completely filter pitch-bend CC messages (not always possible, my keyboard can’t do it)
