This is an original work for concert band that I recently reworked. Its 3 movements each have something to do with the Ohio River ( I lived in a city in Kentucky on the river for 22 years).
The 1st movement depicts the river flowing from its headwaters at the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers. The 2nd movement, “Tow Boats & Showboats” depicts the barges that still do and the showboats that once did ply the waters of the Ohio. The 3rd movement (“At the Yellowbanks”-the original name of the area along the Ohio my city was built on) reflects songs associated with the river before it continues on its way. The sounds I used are from Iconica Sketch, BBC SO, SSO 2024, Synchron Prime and NP. I didn’t previously have all of these available.

Small world. My wife is from “Yellowbanks” and is named after the bridge in the picture.
