I have purchased Cubase Pro v12 two years ago and an upgrade to V 13 last year and v 14 this year. However, in the Steinberg download assistant, Cubase pro v12 is listed as a trial version and cubase pro 13 is not listed at all. How do I retify that? kind regards, Inge
Usually the Steinberg Download Assistant only distinguishes between “My Product Downloads” and anything else.
You seem to be using words that would be found in the Activation Manager.
Maybe a screenshot would help to understand your situation better.
Sorry, I meant the Steinberg Activation manager. Cubase Pro 14 is activated and Cubase Pro 12 has “Trial expired” and Cubase Pro 13 is not listed
That is totally normal and all is fine.
Trial versions are not deleted from the list/your account unless you contact Steinberg support and specifically ask for it.
If you have a Cubase 14 license ativated on this computer you will be able to also install and run Cubase 13 and Cubase 12 as well. They are automatically included in Cubase 14 and don’t require an extra entry.
Okay, thanks for fast reply. It was a bit confusing that my initial trial version figured in the list and the two I bought did not ![]()
On a side note: do you have Novia Harp and Taped Vibe installed? These two would require Halion Sonic 7.
On my computer Halion Sonic 7 has its own entry in the Activation Manager.
There is also some more free instruments available for it from Steinberg.
This is all optional of course.
If you have a newer dongle-free Steinberg host (Cubase, Nuendo, Dorico, VST Live, etc) registered on the machine, then those keys will unlock Sonic 7 player. No need to have/activate a stand along Sonic 7 license. Hosts will typically come with some content libraries for Sonic that you cannot get/use with the free standalone Sonic player.
The free isolated Sonic 7 key is for people who do not have a Steinberg host but wish to purchase and run some of the HALion libraries that are out there. Anyone with no Steinberg host interested in running Sonic 7 should pick up a free Dorico SE key, as doing that will unlock Sonic, and also get the rights for a basic library (General MIDI plus a good bit) of sounds to play in Sonic (possible to uninstall Dorico if one doesn’t like/use it, and keep Sonic and the libraries).
It is like that? That is nice of you to lay out. I guess I once installed HS 7 stand alone to investigate some reports with the downlod or installation process or some licensing question.
