Hi everyboby. Sometimes I input chord ymbols in a score by playing the voicings and letting Dorico ‘read the chord symbol’ via Midi. It generally works well. Generally only minor corrections are necssary. There is one thing I would like to avoid. It is the Omit 5 indications when I am not playing the 5th in a very simple chord. be it a 7 a 9 ora minor7 chord . Of course you would say ‘play the 5th !’. My question is: Is there a way to set a preference for forcing Dorico read the correct chord symbol while at the same time avoiding the omit5 signal? I am doubtful.
