Omnisphere 3 does not work well in Cubase 15 pro

With my Prophet Rev 2, I can’t control the various parameters of Omnisphere 3 in Cubase 15. It works perfectly in Cubase 14. The MIDI and audio settings are the same in both versions of Cubase.
Does anyone have a solution?

It might be helpful for others to know whether you try to control Omnisphere parameters via Midi Remote or via midi controller, which are mapped in the plugin itself.

This may apply. Some (myself included) can’t use NRPN-enabled hardware synth integration with Omnisphere 3 in Cubase 15, but the same configuration works in Cubendo 14:

OK, doing more testing with the exact same setup in N14, the failure for Cubase 15 to properly parse NRPN data seems to be consistent. Midi Monitor shows the exact same data with the exact same configuration between the two - the only difference is that in CB15 Pro, the “first touch” of a parameter from the hardware (my OBX8 filter cutoff was used in testing) results in a very brief (~200ms) message flashing on Omnisphere 3 indicating it saw the initial attempt to set the parameter, but then …

Yes, I use NRPN hardware-synth integration with my Prophet Rev2.

Just to be clear, Omnisphere 3 works well with C15 . There is only an issue with one specific feature when used with some controllers.

Just to be clear, Omnisphere works well with Cubase 14 and poorly with Cubase 15.

I am experiencing the exact same problem with my Sequential Take5. Hardware profiles in Omnisphere in combination with CB15 are not working. NRPM values for notes are sent properly, but for dials etc, Omnisphere is not picking it up. CB14 is working just fine. For me this is one of the most important feature why I wanted to upgrade Omnisphere Hopefully Steinberg will figure this out. For now I will revert to CB14.

Hi. Thank you for your reports. The issue is caused by a slightly modified behavior in Cubase 15 in terms of handling RPN & NRPN messages (due to the extended MIDI2.0 support). We’re in contact with Spectrasonics in that regard. They are able to reproduce the issue in context of Cubase 15 and they believe that they can fix it within Omnisphere 3, which they aim to do soon.
