It’s all up to date and saves fine, but when I completely close Dorico, it shows “not responding.”

What version of Dorico are you running? (And are you using the latest versions of NP and BBCSO…?)
Dorico is version 6.2.30, Note Performer is 5.1.2, and BBCSO is 1.7.0; all of them are the latest versions
When it happens again, relaunch Dorico and select “Diagnostic Report” from the Help menu. Then upload it here.
