Hi. Is anyone else having this problem. Every time I’m in a project, when I try to use shortcut keys like P, G, H which I’ve been doing for years I keep getting a message which says the onscreen keyboard has filtered this key command (or something like this). I have to press alt K and then alt K again for these shortcuts to work. I am absolutely certain I have not initiated the onscreen keyboard for it to filter out these commands. It seems to be doing this randomly on its own. Does anybody know a permanent solution to stop this annoying thing from occurring.? I am using Mac OS 26.5, a Mac studio M4 Max and Qbase 15 pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jon.
Sounds like an odd one. Seems like the virtual keyboard is open. My only suggestion would be to open Cubase (no project) - open and close the virtual keyboard - then close Cubase. Then open like normal. Worth a shot, if you do not have any ideas.
Hi Glenn. Thanks for the reply. I think I’ve sorted it. I went into the default XML file and did a search for virtual keyboard and turned all the number ones to zeros and saved the XML file, seems to have worked for now. Cheers. Jon.
Using the Mediabay previewer (both in Mediabay and Right zone) can also trigger the OSK mode. Possible you pressed a button there.
