When I stop playback, Cubase often, not always, stops to “think” (indicated by the Windows blue circle icon) for about 8 to 10 seconds, during which time all functions are frozen. It looks like an autosave is happening but this isn’t since it occurs precisely when playback is stopped. It is always a painful interruption of workflow.
If anyone else has this issue or has found the source of the problem, kindly confirm.
I will not engage “defending” responses indicating this is normal/desirable Cubase function or blaming the customer.
