Started using Drum Machine and Pattern Editor. I want to use the pattern editor for my drum tracks but I also want to have a standard midi track playing my drum machine so that I don’t have to create new patterns just for an occasional crash, a pouish here and pouf there.
I can create a Drum Machine with pattern event type. That’s fine. Then I can create a Midi track and I can route it to my Drum Machine because my Drum Machine track shows up as an output routing option like a VST. Yay! So now I have a pattern track and a standard midi track both playing the same Drum Machine. Double-Yay! But the problem is unlike a VST, my Drum Machine disappears when I select any track other than my original pattern Drum Machine track, even when the Drum Machine is opened in its own separate pop-up.
Any way to have an independent Drum Machine window like other VSTs? If not, any other trick to have a pattern track and a midi track both playing a single drum machine? (and no, not interested in having two drum machines shared by constantly saving/loading the same preset)
