One setting does not transfer/stick when imported via Library Manager

Here is my template file for hymns.
I am going through the files that already have the lyrics added to them and attempting to transfer everything from this “template” file to each target file.
However … one particular item does not “stick”. I clear all overrides on the page (by means of Command+3 then right click on the page icon and click “Clear all page overrides”.
In the Library Manager, I then make sure there is a green left-pointing arrow for “Options” and “Collections” and then press “Apply” and then “Close”.
But when I check the target file against the template file once again, I find that one thing is never changed to agree with the template the settings of which were allegedly copied to the target file: Tonality Systems.

AFAIK, I don’t need Tonality Systems" to be identical (I have no clue what it’s for), but I don’t like it that Dorico won’t honor my attempt to transfer everything over.

Can anyone else confirm this behavior? Any solution?

It looks like you’ve created a couple of custom tonality systems in this project, based on the 12-EDO default tonality system and each containing a custom key signature, which look to the naked eye like regular key signatures. Perhaps you should simply delete these custom tonality systems, since I guess they’re not serving any actual purpose?

@dspreadbury,

Thank you for chasing down the issue.

Which file are these custom tonality systems in? I.e., (1) the .dorico file I’m using as a template (source file from which I’m copying the Library settings), or (2) in the target file to which those settings are going?

And how do I delete them?

(I have no idea what the custom tonality systems even are, so I assume they only got in there via some MIDI import I did or where in a .dorico file given to me that already had a musical score inputted.)

Thank you!
Eric

I can’t say for sure whether you also have custom tonality systems saved in your user library, but you certainly have two in that project you attached. To delete them, first make sure there are no key signatures in the template project that belong to either of the custom tonality systems, then you should find that when you select them from the drop-down menu in the Tonality System section of the Key Signatures & Accidentals panel in Write mode, the little delete button in the action bar there becomes enabled. Click that to delete the tonality system.

@dspreadbury,
Thank you, Daniel!
It took me a while to get back to this, but I did finally. I found the two tonality systems in the template file and deleted them.

Strangely, when I deleted the first, it disappeared from the list immediately, but when I deleted the second, it stayed in the list until I closed that Dorico project file and re-opened it – then it was gone.

For my future info this is where I found the tonality systems:
key_signatures__tonality__accidentals_w500

And this is what they showed up as:
