Only one channel can be heard with Halion Sonic in Cubase 13

Hello again

I’m trying to record with Halion Sonic in Cubase but I only hear the track on the left channel. However, the VU meters show a signal on both channels, as you can see in this video https://youtu.be/_WuvNE1FShQ
I’ve tested the operation of the Halion Sonic stand alone and both channels can be heard perfectly. You can see this other video https://youtu.be/dVORY1KarUI
I imagine that, as always, it must be a stupid thing that I overlook, but I’ve been testing all morning and I can’t find the fault.
Does anyone see it or is it another poltersgheist?
Help is appreciated for a newbie.

Greetings,

Hi,
are the left and right channel assigned to a device output in Studio > Audio Connections? Do you use the Control Room or is it disabled?

Hi Martin.

Good morning. Thank you very much for your great help. I have checked the audio configuration and you were right. Somehow the settings had been lost and I only had one channel.

I have checked the whole chain and after several attempts I have finally managed to do it.

In case it helps anyone. In my case I use ASIO4ALL handling two sound cards, one internal (SB AE9) and another external (UR24C from Steinberg) so that I use the URC24C only the inputs for recording tasks and, for monitoring I use the SB AE9. I do this because the signal must go through a domestic amplifier to the monitors and I use the toshlink output to avoid signal level problems.

Back to the problem. For whatever reason, the ASIO4ALL had lost the stereo output of the SB AE9. To recover it, I have checked the SB configuration in its program resetting everything and reconfiguring again, once this was done, I have verified in the ASIO4ALL interface that the stereo output channels existed again resetting the ASIO4ALL configuration once that was seen, in CUBASE → Studio → Studio Configuration I have verified that the correct inputs and outputs are activated (they were not), once the inputs and outputs were activated in CUBASE → Studio → Audio Configuration I have reassigned the ASIO4ALL driver to the outputs verifying that, indeed, each channel has the output that corresponds to it from those activated in the previous step.

I hope it helps, many thanks to Martin again for the help received
