Open Finale files in Dorico directly, without XML export?

First of all you have put your question into a Developer forum, not Dorico. I hope it is ok if I move your post to the Dorico Forum.

Opening Finale files directly in Dorico is not possible, because Finale uses its own proprietary format and this is not known to Dorico. So your way to move files over is via MusicXML.

Do you mean the Finale upgrade? If so, probably the best place to ask this is with the MM support team. You could also check in your MM account to see if it is there for you.
