open key editor mutes playback

hi there

during playback, i open a key editor of a midi track. to my surprise the audio drops to silence for a second.

I just installed Nuendo 10 today, after i had switched to Cubase 10 since last year.
if i do the same action in Cubase 10, the sound does not mute, playback continues very smoothly.

Hi,

I expect the MIDI Track data is routed to a VSTi. The tracks switches to the “life” mode, so all data is processed in real-time (no prefetch). Therefore you get a small gap.
