Open the program

Hej!

When I try to open my Dorrico it sais I have to enter actieation code?

Can you please hepl me so I can open the program and compose, What is going on?

Mail me stagren@hotmail.com

Sincerely Margaretha Stagren

Hi @stagren, it seems that you have already downloaded Dorico without using your activation code (you should have inserted your code in Steinberg Download Assistent app)

You can redeem your code going into your Steinberg account on Steinberg.net, click on redeem code, follow the steps indicated there. Once your licence is activated, you need to launch the Steinberg Activation Manager app on your computer, and you will see an Activate button near Dorico 6. Click on it and once it show Activated, launch Dorico.

I havet to enter The Akivationcode when i press the redeemcode? As I told you Idont have it. In steinberg .se
I Can not find the code in the download assistent.

The code was sent to you when you purchased Dorico. Look into your emails from Steinberg or Fastspring. Possibly the code is called: Download Access Code.

You have sent many. Which one is it?

Try the newest?

Have a look here, it might be helpful:

I have had the program for six years. I have tried the latest code. It does not work. You have to send me a code. I need to go in to mycket program now. This is not good.

Ok. We who are answering are just fellow users, not from the Dorico team. Hope you get it sorted.

Which version of Dorico do you use?

Did this just happened suddenly, or have you maybe not used the program for years, and want to use it now?

When you go to https://account.steinberg.net/ and login, do you see your license there?

As @LAE already said: most of us are just users like you, just trying to help

Sorry, I don’t have experience with softlicenser.

When searching the internet with the error you get, I find some links to Steinberg help sites which might be relevant, but because I don’t know if they’re the ones you need I don’t paste them here, I would not like to steer you in the wrong direction.

Maybe @dspreadbury can help you out

But you have been using the new licensing system, right? If you for some reason have been staying with the old system, here is some info:

For Dorico 3.5 and earlier users: Planned end of eLicenser support - Dorico - Steinberg Forums

Dorico 3.5 used the old dongle/softlicense system. If some change in the computer operating system (an update) has interfered with the softlicense on the computer, that would explain the current problem. It might be worth upgrading just to make the licensing problem moot, but you might need help from @dspreadbury to upgrade from a version that once used, but can no longer access, the abandoned licensing system.
