Opening a subsequent project (without activation!) ruins ability to playback my first project

Opening a subsequent project without activating its playback still causes my first project to disconnect from audio engine. That is, if this is really what’s happening.

VST Audio Engine shows no sign of being crashed. My first opened project’s playback gets inactivated, and I can’t activate it again though I can click the activate button and it lights up.

This is new to me, Dorico user since version 2. Never happened before.

Yes, this does seem to be a known issue. You should be able to fix it by turning the audio activation switch off and on again, though.

I don’t experience this. I changed my Dorico preference to allow playback of a second file and subsequently loaded two documents. They both played back, albeit with a brief delay from the playback engine.
