New install on AMD Ryzen 7 system, Asus MB, 64GB Ram, Windows 10 vsn. 21H2.
Installed WL11.0.20. When attempting to open the AUDIO CONNECTIONS preferences, WL11 crashes and quits. Does not matter whether there is an audio card installed or not.
Same computer has WL9.5 installed which works perfectly.
This could be an ASIO driver issue.
Look in the registry at this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ASIO
WaveLab will try to load these drivers.
You could try to temporarily remove these keys to see if that changes something.
One solution is to erase the CLSID variable.
Later, whether you paste the values again, to restore the info. You could also reinstall the drivers.
When I looked at that registry I saw there were two other ASIO drivers installed.
One for the ASUS MB, and another one Steinberg generic. I deleted those and left the RME driver. This solved the problem.
