Opening Cubase 7 projects in Cubase 7 Elements

Is this possible??

I’m sure you can open Cubase Elements in Cubase 7, but the reason I’m asking is because I want to give Elements as a Christmas gift, but I want our projects to be able to open in each others setups.

Basically, if I give him a Cubase 7 project will he be able to open it?
