Hi
This is an ongoing problem with the last 3 or 4 versions of Cubase. Whenever I select midi parts then open them in the score editor I receive the well known SERIOUS ERROR warning which advises me that my file has been backed up with a strange suffix, then to leave the country after shutting down Cubase forever.
Can anyone suggest what I could do to prevent this serious error message appearing whenever i try to open a midi part in the score editor?

The question is, did you actually leave the country afterwards? If not, how can you expect your problem to have been solved? If the dialog box says leave the country, fer cripes sake, leave. I’ll have a look in the manual for what it says about coming back, and I’ll message you with the page number.
okay, now that I got that off my chest, what is the well known serious error message?
Also, what platform are you on, and maybe a few more details about the context in which this happens would be helpful…
