Operating Systems for Cubase 6.5

Hello there.

I am running Cubase 6.5.5. I have been using it on my studio desktop PC that is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I am looking to purchase a laptop for live performance purposes. The one that I’m looking at has a touchscreen and is running Windows 8.1 64-bit. Will my version of Cubase work well on that OS and will I be able to use the touchscreen with it at all? The laptop has an i7 processor, a 1TB HDD and 16 GB of RAM so I know that part of the specs is plenty good enough.

Hi,

The official System requirement is Windows 7 and Windows 8 for Cubase 6.5.5. I guess, Win 8.1 will not be a problem then.

Regarding the touch-screen, it’s not supported officially. From my experience (with Cubase 8) a basic operation is possible. But for example the double-click doesn’t work.
