I started using Cubase 14 and found that there were so many basic features missing from the score editor, some of which have already been documented in this forum, which had been available previously that I switched back to Cubase 12. In the past I have been able to move the play cursor in the score editor by using option>shift>left click. I could not do that in Cubase 14.

Multiple people have asked for this, and it is on our list. You can also press āLā to do this.

just to add -
I also have this difficulty in 14. The L key also does not function entirely like the click position from previous versions (12?).
User example: tied whole note across multiple bars, you cannot simply click the note in bar 5 of the length, āLā will set it prior to that bar as it is locating the note start, not your mouse click start.
Iām glad I found this thread - I would really like that old functionality back.
