So, some context. We have multiple users connected via fiber to a Qumulo (all flash) storage array, the NIC’s in the workstations are 25GB capable. We also work in multi channel / layer files with up to 2200 channels of audio in a single project. Our users have experienced ‘lag’ with Nuendo not smoothly loading the project.
Is there an optimized reality that is clearly identified already for this scenario - should we be using a local array rather than via fiber? Is there a way to identify where the ‘bottleneck’ is - Nuendo itself / NIC / plugin’s etc?
Looking to optimize the experience for our teams, they’re using custom workstations with HIGH spec. Also just acknowledging that the channel count is unusually high…
Any thoughts or is there a Consultant we can engage to explore the more tactical layers of what is being experienced?
