Option to show time signatures when working in Galley view with instrument filter active

It’s entirely possible I’ve overlooked something, but I would find it helpful if Galley view displayed time signatures whenever the score is using the larger, score-level type of time signatures.

It may simply be that the selection of instruments I’ve filtered doesn’t qualify for a displayed time signature under the current Layout Options (for example, because time signatures are only shown above certain staves). However, I wonder whether there’s a case for showing them in Galley view regardless, as they provide useful orientation when working with a filtered set of instruments.

This is just a thought, nothing more or less…

Hi @rraby, can you upload a simple Dorico file example that shows the issue, and describe the steps to reproduce the undesired behaviour?

I tried with various instrument filters in Galley view but the TS was always visible:

Edit: I see: if you have some player outside the Large Time Signature groups, and you have only them filtered in galley view, the TS will not be shown:

You could create a working layout, where you have the TS show on every staff option activated, or Show once per bracket, but with no players outside a group (for the Manual Large time signature behaviour setting).

Thank you @Christian_R for looking into this issue. It would be a small but much appreciated quality-of-life improvement if there were an option on the Instrument Filter window to display time signatures. That said, I appreciate your suggestion of creating a dedicated layout using large time signatures with the option to show time signatures on every staff enabled - brilliant, thank you
