Order of Mixconsole Rack Sections

Hi,

I am aware of the abilitity to change the strip and eq pre/post relationship. But..

Does the reordering of the rack sections in the mixconsole change the signal flow (as per top-to-bottom) through the reordered racks?

Hi and welcome to the forum,

Yes, the signal flow follows the order of the Insert effects, Strip modules and the Inserts-Strip order.

No, changing the order of the racks in the Mix Console is only a graphical thing.

The signal flow changes when you are in the Channel Settings and switch the order of Inserts and Channel Strip.

Yeah, this what I’d thought. Would be great to be able to default a PRE (Eq+Gain), STRIP then (EQ←—→INSERTS (switchable)) order.

Fyi, ex Cubase (pre audio), ‘90’s: to Digital Performer, 2004-2020 (with switch from Mac to Windows, 2018); Cubase, 2020—>. Changing to Mac when M5 Studio lands. Cubase solely, going forward…
