I’m very happy that Dorico has organ pedal playing techniques. It could need some improvemt though. It would be great to include playing techniques for toes back (underline) or toes front (upperline) as shown in bar 1 in the example. Also the playing technique for fot change on one note as shown in bar 3.
You can create any kind of customised Playing Techniques, with glyphs, text, graphics, composites, and assign them to also custom created Playback Techniques that suit your Library.
And save all those as default, so you have them in all your projects.
Thank you for your Answer, I’m aware of that, That’s how I made the example It would be nice i Dorico could add these techniques since they are very common in organ pedal playing
It would be even nicer if they could be moved to the fingerings category. Technically, if there is a dedicated fingerings dialogue, organ pedaling is much more closely related to that than to other forms of playing technique. (I did start a feature request thread on this a while ago.)
Absolutely. There are also some pedal techniques now in Dorico that I never have seen: the upside down toe and heel sign. I wonder if these really are used by someone or if Dorico just assumed it should be there?
