Before you click on “+Add Editor”, have you selected the instrument that is using the CC103?
This is confusing because when you click on “+Add Editor”, CC103 does not appear even though it is there. You need to scroll down in that list, and it should be after CC64.
Same with the "Add Automation " button. That does not appear either but it is lower on the list as well.
As I think others explained, the confusion is due to the fact that you can only access the first rank (Great) from Dorico right now, as it uses the same patch for all three staves in an organ instrument. The day this changes in Dorico, I’m expecting you will have three tracks with different automation lanes, where you can configure Great, Swell and Pedal in isolation.
Hi all,
Thanks for all the posts in this thread, very helpful indeed.
But has the above ‘issue’ been fixed as yet as I am struggling to find a way to have, say Trumpet (Great), Full (Swell) and, say, Sub Base and Trombone (Pedal).
Would I need to create extra staves for these or can it now be done using the normal bracketed 3 stave configuartion (LH, RH, Ped)? If so, how can this be done? Thank you
I don’t believe there are any issues with this and haven’t been for sometime. What I do is if I want great swell and pedal I add three organ instances and then in note performer, I make one of them great the second one swell and the third one just the pedal. Then choose my registrations accordingly.
Have you tried activating independent voice playback? That would allow you to assign a different sound (or instrument) for each voice present on a staff. Within the notepeformer mixer you could set the voices to the Swell, Great or Pedal organ. It can become complicated trying to keep track of the different voices but with voice colors turned on it’s not too bad. (Change registrations using CC#103 as mentioned earlier in this post).
