Ornament accidentals

I need this mordent to have a sharp above it, as the manuscript provides:

But Dorico only allows me to supply a sharp below the mordent:

Even when the following option is correctly set in Engraving Options:

Also the Properties for the mordent will only give me a sharp when Interval below is selected and set to 3 (instead of 1, which would make more sense):

What is going on here? How can I get the sharp to appear above the ornament?

The Engraving Options only relate to tr trills, not other ornaments.

You may have to ‘fake’ it with a Playing Technique that incorporates the symbols as you want them.

IMHO the manuscript is confusing, whereas Dorico’s version is clear. It is an inverted mordent and the accidental modifies the lower note. Reading at speed, if I saw the MS version I would probably play a normal mordant with a modified upper note by mistake.

Oh I totally agree but you gotta do what you gotta do…

(And be sure to charge extra for having to create a custom glyph to follow the manuscript exactly.)
