it is possible to configure grupetto or short trill with dorico or note performer.

The list of ornaments that do playback in Dorico is not very long, I’m afraid. Apart from trills and (some) glissandi, there’s been some improvements lately with jazz doit and falls (IIRC) but grupetti and trills are still to be implemented. However, you can use a hidden stave that will playback the ornament as you wish — that means you’ll have to notate exactly how you want it to be played on an added stave before you “remove the staff”. And, of course, you will set the property of the showing notes to suppress playback.
