Ossia in between grand staff?

Is it possible to insert a ossia in between a grand staff?

I know it would be unconventional, but just asking

I think you would need to fake the grand staff…

You won’t get the cross-staff beaming, nor the dynamics automatically centered between the staves…

thanks all…it would be useful, for this specific project I am dong, to be able to add an ossia in between the grand staff…perhaps a feature request for the developers?

In theory, this should still be possible, so long as the two separate instruments for treble/bass are held by the same player.

Thanks Lillie…wondering if there was a way to create a “new” piano instrument with those characteristics and save it for using in this specific project.

I have never delved into the “Edit Instruments” section of the software so I wonder if there is a way to duplicate the existing Piano and make it work for my purpose.

Maybe try some options for yourself and see what you can come up with. However, you can’t create an instrument that is itself two instruments :wink:

What you could do is set up your project with these instruments and staves, and save that as a project template.
