I’ve used aggregate audio devices under Cubase 5 and 6 for several years. without difficulty, using a lynx AES16e and a MacPro digital out.
I recently upgraded my 4 year old MacPro to a new Mac Mini (Fall 2012), upgraded from Cubase 6 to Cubase 7, and changed the Lynx interface from AES16e to LT-USB. WIth all these changes it is difficult to determine the source of the problem, but here is the problem:
Under Cubase 7 when I aggregate a Lynx USB-LT (Aurora 16) card with a Mac Mini (Fall 2012) digital output (built in audio output) device (feeding a Lavry DA10) the audio gets choppy (sounds similar to when latency is set too low) after typically 5-10 minutes. Going t Device Setup, reselecting the same driver solves the problem, for another 10 minutes or so.
