Apologies for this OT post, but for anyone exploring the Synth V choir voices, I thought I’d share a small discovery that may be useful.
While I haven’t found the choirs to be quite as convincing as some of the solo voices, I’ve discovered that adjusting the default values for Note Start, Phrase End and Pitch, particularly by lowering them, can produce noticeably more cohesive and natural results.
These controls can be found in the Notes panel, but they only become visible and active once notes have been selected in the piano roll window. This isn’t immediately obvious, so I thought it was worth mentioning in case others are also experimenting with Synth V choir voices. I only became aware of these options after another Synth V user highlighted them on their forum.

these together with Vibrato modulation are pretty basic settings, really. .A lot of folk find too much vibrato so that’s the place to adjust it. All of these settings I tend to reduce by around 50% typically. Sliding Expression towards the top right corner (Refined end) helps to produce choirs which are more suited for classically orientated music. As does increasing smoothness and roundness in the vocal mode, I’ve found. When I first tried out the choirs, I was underwhelmed but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot that could be tweaked to improve things which convinced me to buy them, although now for a lot of stuff, I’m liking Cantai even more.
Additionally, among the basic parameters, the Mouth Opening one is particularly important in changing the tone and I’ve found the Gender is also worth experimenting with if you want ,say, a somewhat more masculine alto!
