Is there a simple way to overdub (change) polyphonic aftertouch data by using a MIDI controller (fader)?
We’d like to be able to redo the polyphonic aftertouch data from a recording by using a fader on our hardware MIDI controller (say CC 9). This way we can for example replace (and improve) parts of the vibrato performance on our SWAM virtual instrument.
It’s clear for me how to overdub regular MIDI CC data, but I’ve not figured out yet how to do the same with polyphonic aftertouch data. It’s probably very simple but help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. 1: We can of course program the instrument to use the newly recorded CC 9 from our MIDI controller for vibrato performance, but than we have to redo the whole part for vibrato and cannot partially redo the aftertouch.
P.S. 2: We’re working in Nuendo 13 but AFAIK that does not make a difference for MIDI programming.
