Hi! The first 35 pages of my 15-staves system document look print-ready (see screenshot p 35). However, page 36 has 1 measure, then each of the following pages have increasing numbers of systems printing over each other to the point that the top of the page is just completely saturated with black ink. (see screenshot p 39).
It’s as if I told Dorico to only use 39 pages for printing and it crammed the last few pages on a single sheet.

So, I didn’t know what ‘untick’ meant, but I just click on it and hit ‘Delete’ and it straightened the rest of the pages out. I actually had to do that in 3 places.
I don’t know how a Frame Break would have gotten there since I haven’t worked with those yet. Ideas?

It could be that you used Lock Layout in Engrave mode? Or is it an XML-import? Untick means click on the wait for next break property so that it’s not blue anymore. For XML-imports, it’s best to untick almost everything under Preferences->MusicXML before importing.

There will be times where you don’t want to delete system breaks because you need them. After you click the system break signpost, open the bottom panel (Cmd/Ctrl-8 ) and disable the “Wait for next system break”. There may also be times where you want more measures in a system than usually would fit on a page which is where you would enable the “Wait for next system break”. Basically that is also what the program is doing if you do “Make into system”. There is a good video about this:
