I haven’t quite figured out how to do this: I have a player with two instruments that I want to always appear as one staff, even when the voices overlap. Currently, when the voices overlap, two staves are shown. Can I force the two staves together with overlapping music? Or do I just need to choose one staff and input all of the overlapping music as two voices?
It may depend on the instruments themselves. If they are unpitched percussion, you can combine them into a “kit.”
The instruments are a string instrument and voice, so they can naturally overlap.
Don’t use two instruments, use one, and use two different voices.
You can always assign a different sound to each voice in Play mode.
Thanks, @dankreider. That is how I normally work, but I wanted to find out if I could use the Players->Instruments feature in my workflow and still get the results that I’m looking for.
Alternatively you could use condensing and force the instruments/players to share a staff? That would probably require each instrument to be held by a separate player.
