Page Layout questions

Hi. Hoping you are all well.

I have created a Page Template (Default Full Score) consisting of 16 Music Frames in a worksheet format that I want to reuse on other pages within my document. I have 2 questions/concerns that I can’t quite figure out.

  1. What would stop ‘tokens’ from automatically numbering two different Music Frames correctly across the page horizontally?

  2. If I create a New Page Template based on an existing Page layout, how can I stop all text changes affecting the original page when I edit the new page? Do I have to start a New Page Template from scratch? This is what I’ve been doing! Is there something I’m missing?

Recreate the fields you do not want to affect the original template.
I look at the properties for each field and write down the dimensions ( and the anchor points), so I can recreate fields by the numbers.

Thank you. I’d hoped that this wouldn’t be the case. I’m a little confused as to why the copy option is there if it is limiting in this way.
I’m sure there’s a good reason.

I wouldn’t be opposed to having the fields in copied layouts unconnected.
