I have finished my conductor’s score with three pages of introduction. I would like the page numbering to start only on the first page of music, i.e., the fourth page numbered 1.
Everything is fine except that the numbers for pages 1 and 2 do not appear. The third and subsequent pages are correctly numbered.
How can I get the numbering to start on page 1 ?

How did you insert the introduction pages?
To get page numbers on blank pages you need to create a page template including the page number token.
Could it be you have Page Overrides on that pages, so template items you might have added afterwards do not show?

I created a page template which I then inserted. I am attaching two screenshots. I do not understand why the numbering only starts on the third page of music.
Your changes to the Page Templates are being blocked by all the Page Overrides (those red triangles).
However, if you remove the overrides, I’m guessing you will lose all your text material on pages 1-3, which you don’t want! So I think the only practical solution is to add the page number token manually to the pages that are missing it.
In future, you need to think about Page Templates before you start creating page overrides. Easy to say, but hard to remember!
would be to copy the text and paste it into your page template, and get rid of those overrides !!!

I will use your solution of writing the missing page numbers by hand. However, I did not create that many replacement pages, which is strange: I only exceeded the frame for a single page (for a large tutti of 27 different instruments!).
In any case, I will remember to create the templates before modifying the layout of the music.
