Page Template are Linked Together

Hi!
I’m trying to set 2 kinds of a ‘first’ page template, one for the project’s first and one for flows’, but for some reason these templates are linked to one another. Whenever I change my flow’s template title to {@flowtitle@} it changes my project’s template title and vice versa. Why is it happening? Am I using page templates wrong? And how do I unlink them?
Many thanks!

Hi @olok, and welcome back.

Yes if you create a page template based on another one, the frames will bill linked together. This can be very handy, if you only need to add something in a new frame to your customised template, for example, but you want the other frames to be synchronised between the different templates.
If you need different tokens etc…, you need to delete the corresponding frame on the new page template, and recreate it. To be able to make it the same size and position, you can make a note of the values of the original frames, from the Properties Panel, as well as the anchor points on the left panel, and input those values in the newly created frame/s.

If you search the Forum for something like “page template frames linked” you will find many threads discussing this.
For example this thread, with several explanations and reasons why this default behaviour is convenient:

OK, that worked! Thanks a lot!
I searched the forum but for some reason couldn’t find the thread you mentioned. Maybe I didn’t use the right words for my search attempt. I’ll refer to that one if I have any other issue with templates. Thanks again!
