Page template export language behavior

Currently playing around with page templates…

  1. Run Dorico in German
  2. Export randomly modified page templates (Standardparitur & Standard-Einzelzimme) (=Default Full Score & Default Part)
  3. Open other Dorico file
  4. Import both templates

Expected result:

  1. I either get asked to overwrite current template with same name (e.g. Standardpartitur overwrites Standardpartitur)
    or
  2. Template is imported with same name as exported but with “(importiert)” (“imported”) suffix.

Actual result:
Dorico imports the template but with English name, so I then have 3 templates

  • Standardpartitur
  • Standard-Einzelstimme
  • Default Full Score (importiert)

Latter is also a mix of both languages.

I’d prefer to be asked to overwrite. I know I could batch edit in layout settings, but this could be more convenient.

This keeps getting weird:

With a default Dorico file:

  • Delete “Standard-Einzelstimme”
  • Import template: For whatever reason it now shows me as “Standard-Einzelstimme” (without imported suffix)
  • Apply new template to all layouts
  • Close document
  • Reopen

Result

  • Template list now contains
    Standardparitur
Standard-Einzelstimme (<- The one I deleted, it keeps reappearing every time after delete/reopen of Dorico)
    Standard-Einzelstimme (<- new one)
