Hello! I have a problem with Dorico creating an extra page when I’m customizing a page template. It seems like when I delete the music frame from the “First” page template and replace it with different frames it gives me one side as I want but also a second page which I am not able to delete. I only want 5 short flows on one page. Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?
I’ve been trying to avoid overrides at all in Engraving mode, but maybe it’s not a problem with overrides?
Thank you, @asherber ! I am allowing all new flows on existing page.
I don’t want all flows to be in the same music frame. My goal with this is to be able to position the flows at different locations of the page). The error occurs when I put all the flows into different music frames like in this picture:
I’m trying to do this myself but I am just not able to… Once I apply my editing to the “First” page templet and close, Dorico switches back from “First” to “Default”. When I insert page templet change to “First” to my page Dorico gives me one page as I want and a second page with all the same flows positioned just as if I only enabled the setting for allowing new flows on existing pages in Layout Options.
Not sure what I did, but something with the frame chains. I think it was setting the default template frame to use the firsrt flow, perhaps. You need to decrease the raster size, or make the frames larger for the music to fit.
Hello @tonh ! Thank you. You’re right. Seems like it has to do with the frame setting of the default page template. It also seems to work if I delete the frames completely from the Default Page Template.
