The latest update (5.1.50) has introduced an anomaly in the editing Page Template section. Formerly, double-clicking on the First/Default template would open at full size (as I remember) and maybe retain any zoom setting after closing(?). But at least it would open full size. Now double-clicking opens the editor at small size (53%) for my monitor, and always opens at 1/2 size after closing at any zoom level. Curiously, if I open the editor by clicking on the edit page template button, it opens at full size (112%) on my monitor. It works the same on two different machines recently updated to the latest Dorico version (both on Windows 10). Has anyone else noticed this anomaly?
They all open and close at full size for me, whether I double-click on First/Default or click the edit page template button.
I have seen this myself, too, though I find that the lower zoom level is applied only for a moment, and then the expected zoom level is applied. This stuff is all a bit fiendish, unfortunately, and is very sensitive to small changes in the order in which updates about the changing sizes of the window and its panels are received by the score view.
For me, double-clicking on the template always opens it at 54%, and in the top left corner of the window, regardless of the zoom level when I previously closed it. Clicking in the window just once switches the zoom to ‘exact fit’. The Edit Page Template button always opens to ‘exact fit’. When exiting the template editor, it does remember the zoom level though.
