I have made a new page template for an instrument, and trying to re-use that template to get the exact same layout for a different instrument, but the template is blank. I am curious, is it possible to use a template for another instrument, and if so what am I doing wrong? Thanks.
If you want to copy the layout of one part to another, use Propagate Part Formatting. The resulting dialogue box will let you select the source part and destination part(s).
I may be misunderstanding what you’re asking. I’m not sure what you mean about the template being blank. Perhaps you’re referring to a project template (rather than copying the layout of one part to another within the same file)?

I made a new page template for an instrument, and want to use that page template for a different instrument, but with that instruments part showing in their part.
You can select the page template to use on any given page in Engrave mode with “Insert Page Template Change” and then choosing the page number and template you want to change.
If I’m still not understanding correctly, it may be helpful to post a file.

If you can, please post the file you’re working on (or even a copy with music removed).
