Hello -
I purchased an upgrade from Wavelab Pro 12 to Wavelab Pro 13. As expected, I redeemed the code that was emailed to me, downloaded the program and installed it on my Apple (Silicone) computer (macOS 26). However, when I open up the program, I get “Wavelab 13 Go” rather than the “Pro” version. Is this a known issue? If so, what is the work-around?
Hi. Did you open the Steinberg Activation Manager and activate the license on that Mac?
To be fair to you, even though it says “Follow these steps to download, install, and activate,” they don’t actually have a step that says “Open SAM and activate the software on your system.” ‘Twer it I providing those instructions, I would explicitly add that step as it’s not immediately evident otherwise.
Hi -
I did open the Steinberg Activation Manager and inputted the Activation Code that was emailed to me. Interestingly, the Steinberg Activation Manager shows the upgrade to Wavelab Pro 13. However, I did not do anything with “Open SAM”. . . which I will try now.
Happy to help. You entered the “Download Access Code” (DAC) into the “Download Manager,” which was correct - that registered your license. To ACTIVATE that license on your specific computer (you can do so on up to 3 different system, btw) you have to use the “Steinberg Activation Manager,” which is a separate app. It’s confusing for sure, and it doesn’t help that their instructions don’t actually tell you to explicitly activate it
