What’s the default pan law in Cubase 10.5 Pro ?
check your project setup. I have equal power as default in Cubase since the last couple of years.

If you want your panning to behave like most analog consoles available on the market over 40 years or so, then set it to -3dB. This is pretty much considered the standard to minimize “center build-up” with the least amount of compromise.
