I’d like to process in parallel a set of vocals using a chorus effect. Is it technically correct to have a single chorus for all the signals, as you would do with reverb? Of course without adding compression to that channel.
I don’t think this is a technical question, it’s more of an artistic choice.
Two reasons why people use reverb aux buses are that running one shared reverb (instead of a bunch of inserted ones) is easier on the CPU, and puts all the signals into the same reverberant space.
Choruses aren’t that CPU intensive (and that’s less of a concern these days anyway), and you aren’t trying to simulate a physical reverberant space, so I say you should experiment with both approaches and see what sounds better
