I was wondering if there is a way to adjust Dorico’s auto formatting “rules” to get more rehearsal marks along the left margin. The default part formatting is not bad, but ideally I would like the ability to get Dorico to prioritize formatting systems in parts such that the rehearsal marks end up on the left hand side of the page where it doesn’t otherwise cause worse problems (problems such as too many or too few bars in one system). This makes them easier for musicians to locate quickly.
If it had this ability it would save me from having to go through and insert a large number of system breaks in the parts. Something like “minimum bars per system” “maximum bars per system” and “prefer rehearsal marks on left margin (where possible)”.
